Where to Farm Luminous Growth in Enshrouded and What It Crafts

Luminous Growth is one of Enshrouded's more distinctive resources, mostly because it looks like the cave decided to install mood lighting. It is used for several light-focused recipes and can also make base builds look far less gloomy.

Best Luminous Growth Locations

A convenient early source of Luminous Growth appears during the Hunter's Hand Spindle quest. You need to summon the Hunter NPC before starting that questline.

After accepting it, travel south from the Ancient Spire - Revelwood Fast Travel point. Look for a cave entrance marked by glowing pillars. Equip a Pickaxe and mine those bright structures to collect Luminous Growth.

Update #1 v0.7.0.1 made Luminous Growth nodes easier to spot, so this resource should stand out better than it did before.

Another farming option is in the southeastern part of the map, inside the Kindlewastes. This region has multiple glowing surfaces that can be mined with a Pickaxe for more Luminous Growth.

The warning is simple: Kindlewastes is not beginner-friendly. Bring strong gear and useful skills before heading there, or Embervale may send you home by force.

Luminous Growth Crafting Uses

Luminous Growth is primarily used to craft lighting and glowing building materials. The listed recipes are:

• Lantern: 4x Iron Bars, 4x Charcoal, 2x Glass, 2x Sandstone, and 2x Luminous Growth
• Wall Lantern: 1x Iron Bars, 2x Charcoal, 2x Glass, 2x Goo, and 2x Luminous Growth
• Luminescent Block: 5x Stone and 5x Luminous Growth

Luminescent Blocks can be placed as walls, floors, or ceilings to create a soft glowing effect around a base. A good example comes from Reddit user Dr4cul3, who used Luminous Growth blocks over farm plants to create a hydroponic-style ceiling.
