Satisfactory Cross-Platform Play on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox

Satisfactory·November 7, 2025·5 min read

Satisfactory's factory-building is better with friends, especially if everyone agrees on conveyor belt angles. PC players have had multiplayer for a while, and console players can now join too.

The main question is whether PC and console players can build together.

Does Satisfactory Have Cross-Platform Play?

As of November 4, 2025 in the source, Satisfactory is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. However, Satisfactory does not support multiplayer between PC and console players. It does not have full cross-platform play.

Because those versions are separate, cross-progression between PC and console is not available either. PC progress does not carry over to console.

There are still supported platform groups. PlayStation and Xbox players can play together, and Steam and Epic Games Store players can play together on PC.

Why PC and Console Cross-Play Is Missing

The developers explained the limitations in a YouTube video. The main issues are technical complexity, optimization work, and Satisfactory's PC customizability.

Mods can change the PC version and cause instability, making console compatibility harder. Full PC-to-console cross-play would also require major development work.

The developers did not fully rule it out for the distant future, but players should not expect it for now.

Current Multiplayer Support

  • Steam and Epic Games Store players can play together.
  • PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can play together.
  • PC players cannot play with console players.
  • PC progress does not transfer to console.

Satisfactory is partly cross-platform, but not across every version. PC and console remain separate ecosystems.
