Satisfactory multiplayer is at its best when everyone is building toward the same massive factory dream. Sometimes, though, that dream does not need random visitors walking in and reorganizing the conveyor belt spaghetti.
Adding a server password makes your Satisfactory server private. Only players who know the password can authenticate and join, which is useful for solo play, a small friend group, or any server where access should stay limited.

The Confirm button does not work when setting a password
This usually means the two password fields do not match. Retype the confirmation password carefully. If it still fails, clear both fields and enter the password again from the start. Once both entries match exactly, Satisfactory will allow you to confirm the change.
The server is not asking for a password
The password may not have saved correctly, or the server may still need a restart. Go back to Server Settings and confirm that player password protection is enabled with the password you want. After that, restart the server from your control panel. When the server finishes loading again, players should be asked to authenticate before joining.
