Adding plugins is an important part of owning a Rust server, as it allows you to further customize your game. Many servers use plugins for moderation, custom wipe mechanics, or even whitelists. These can add key features that vanilla servers lack. With Holy Hosting, installing and configuring Rust plugins is easy — here’s how to get started.

How to Install Plugins
Preparation
Go to your server panel and access your Rust server.
Scroll down to Enable uMod Support and make sure it is checked.
Once done, return to the main panel and start the server to apply the changes.
This ensures all necessary files and folders are ready to use the Oxide plugin loader.
Download Plugins
Visit the uMod plugin website for Rust.
Use the search bar or browse to find the desired plugin.
Once found, click the Download button at the top right of the page.
Save the plugin files in an accessible location for later use.
Upload Plugins
Go to your HolyHosting server panel.
Click FTP File Access on the left and log in.
Navigate to the oxide/plugins folder.
Click Upload in the top left, then drag and drop your plugin files.
Once upload reaches 100%, return to the main panel page.
Most plugins will load automatically, but it’s recommended to restart the server to ensure full functionality.
Configuration
Configuring a plugin is straightforward. Most plugin pages provide detailed info on each setting.
Access FTP File Access and log in.
Navigate to the config folder.
Locate the configuration file for your plugin and click Edit on the right.
Make your changes and click Save.
Restart the server again to ensure all plugin settings are applied correctly.
