An important part of owning a Rust server is adding plugins to further customize your gameplay. Many servers use plugins for moderation, custom wipe mechanics, and other features that enhance the player experience.

At HolyHosting, it is very easy to install and configure Rust plugins, so we will show you how to get started.
How to Install Plugins:
Preparation:
1. Go to your server panel and access the Rust server.
2. Then, click on the Customizations button on the left side of your screen.
3. Scroll down to Enable uMod Support and make sure it is checked.
4. When you are done, go back to the main panel and start the server to apply the changes.
This will ensure that all required files and folders are ready to use the Oxide plugin loader and you can continue.
Downloading Plugins:
1. Access the uMod plugins website for Rust.
2. Use the search bar or simply browse until you find the desired plugin.
3. Once located, press the Download page at the top right.
4. Save your plugins to an accessible location for later.
Uploading Plugins:
1. Go to your server panel.
2. Click on FTP File Access on the left, then log in.
3. Go to the "oxide" folder and then to the "plugins" folder.
4. Press "Upload" in the upper left corner, then drag and drop your plugin files.
5. Once it reaches 100%, press the server name at the top to return to the main page.
Most plugins will load automatically, but restarting is recommended to ensure full functionality.
Configuration:
Configuring a plugin is also fairly easy. Most plugin pages will provide detailed information about each setting, in case you get confused about what a certain option means.
1. Access FTP File Access, then log in.
2. Go to the "oxide" folder and then to the "config" folder.

3. Locate the desired configuration file and click "Edit" on the far right.
4. Once changes have been made, click "Save".
It is again recommended to restart the server to ensure full plugin functionality.
