Do you enjoy playing Conan Exiles, but feel something extra is needed to add more excitement to the game? Look no further, as Conan Exiles has a Steam Workshop where many mods are available to enhance your gameplay experience.

Downloading Mods

To get mods for Conan Exiles, we recommend subscribing to a mod directly through the Steam Workshop, as this will download the mods directly.

In the Steam Workshop, locate the desired mod and press "Subscribe" to download it.Steam Workshop

Once downloaded, visit the Conan Exiles game page and then press the settings gear.

Go to Manage > Browse Local Files until a window opens.Browse Local Files

At the top of the file manager, press Steamapps.Steamapps

Navigate to workshop > content > then select the folder named 440900.

Here, there will be a folder with numbers depending on each mod. The .Pak files inside are the important mod files.

Once here, you are ready to start uploading the mod files!

Uploading Mod Files

Using a program like 7-ZIP, compress all the necessary .Pak files for easy uploading..zip Files

Go to your HolyHosting Server Panel, then stop the server.

Using FTP, navigate to the /ConanSandbox/ folder, then create and/or enter a folder

called Mods. If the file size is very large, consider using an external FTP program instead.

In this folder, press "Upload" in the top left, then drag and drop your .zip file.Folder

Once it reaches 100%, go back to the Mods folder, select the .zip, and then press "Unzip" in the top right.

Enabling Mods on the Server

To enable mods, you will need to add a .txt file to the Mods directory. This can be uploaded from a computer or created using "New File" in the FTP File

Access.

Make sure the file is named modlist.txt.

Inside the file, add an asterisk '*', followed by the .pak file name.

for example:

*Ancient_Blades.pak

For any additional mods, follow the naming scheme for each line.modlist

Once done, save the file, make sure it is in the Mods folder, and then restart the server.

The Conan Exiles server should now start with the mods you want!

Common Issues

Mods are not uploading correctly:

Often, many mod files are very large. When mods are too big, we recommend using an external FTP program to upload them for a smoother experience. This can prevent timeouts and other issues that may occur when uploading large files.

My mods do not appear in-game:

This can happen for several reasons, but it is important to make sure all .pak mod files are extracted directly into the Mods folder. If they are in any other location, they will not be loaded by the server.

My mods are in the Mods folder, but still not working:

In this case, we recommend checking the modlist.txt file. If it is in the Mods folder, make sure it is named exactly as mentioned, otherwise it will not work. Additionally, make sure the .pak file names match exactly what is listed in the modlist.txt file.
