Enshrouded Eternal Spells: Unlocking, Crafting, and Stats

Enshrouded·March 30, 2025·18 min read

Eternal Spells let magic-focused Flameborn stop treating every cast like a dwindling supply of arrows. They still require setup and materials, but once crafted, they can be used indefinitely. For anyone planning a wizard build in Enshrouded, they are worth chasing.

Staff Charges vs Eternal Spells

Staff Charges and Eternal Spells both power magic in Enshrouded, but they differ in how long they last.

Staff Charges are finite spell ammunition. Players craft or find them, equip them, and spend them through normal casting. Use enough of them and the stack runs out.

Eternal Spells work like permanent versions of those charges. Their icons show an infinity symbol, meaning the spell does not get consumed when cast. The tradeoff is that Eternal Spells usually demand more advanced crafting materials and station requirements.

In short, Staff Charges are easier to replace early, while Eternal Spells are better long-term investments once your base and NPC setup can support them.

How to Unlock Eternal Spell Crafting

Staff Charges and Eternal Spells can occasionally appear from enemies, chests, and smashed crates across Embervale. Those drops are uncommon, though, so relying on random loot is not the most efficient plan.

The steadier route is to unlock the Alchemist and place him at your base. His pod is inside the Ancient Vault - Alchemist, west of the Springlands. You will also know you are on the correct path when the Powerful Alchemy quest appears.

After the Alchemist is available, interact with him to craft Staff Charges and Eternal Spells. More powerful recipes may require extra quests and specific nearby crafting stations or items.
