Enshrouded Early Access Release Date and PC Requirements

Keen Games first planned to launch Enshrouded in Early Access before the end of 2023, following its earlier development announcement. The launch window later moved, but the studio replaced it with a firm date players could actually mark on a calendar.

New Enshrouded Release Date

Keen Games confirmed through an official YouTube announcement video that Enshrouded would enter Early Access on January 24, 2024. That made the launch a short delay from the earlier 2023 target.

A related press release explained that the team wanted to carry the momentum from the demo into a stronger Early Access release. The demo had performed well during Steam Next Fest, so the delay was framed around quality rather than a major development reset.

The trailer also highlighted the game’s main survival action RPG pillars, including co-op exploration, combat, building, and crafting.

What Enshrouded Includes

Enshrouded takes inspiration from Portal Knights while moving into a darker survival ARPG structure. Players can expect:

  • Survival progression: Start with limited gear, gather resources, and learn how to survive the Shroud.
  • Action combat: Dodge, parry, slash, cast spells, and use abilities against hostile creatures.
  • Voxel building: Create simple shelters, elaborate bases, or architectural experiments that definitely started as “just one wall.”
  • Crafting: Make and upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and survival supplies.
  • Online co-op: Play in online sessions with up to 16 players.
