7 Days to Die

7 Days to Die Controls: Full Keyboard, Xbox, and PlayStation Reference

7 Days to Die·December 19, 2024·46 min read

Surviving the wasteland in 7 Days to Die is about more than scavenging cans and bashing zombies. Knowing the controls cold is what separates the players landing headshots from the ones fumbling for the flashlight key while a horde closes in. This reference covers every default binding for keyboard and mouse, Xbox controllers, and PlayStation controllers.

PC Controls (Keyboard and Mouse)

The stock keyboard and mouse layout puts movement on WASD and gives the mouse buttons to combat. The lists below assume default bindings, so if you have already remapped anything, trust the in-game tooltips over this page.

DualSense Touchpad Note

Since Update 1.0, the DualSense touchpad LED reacts to in-game conditions. Expect colour shifts based on the time of day, weather, and blood moon events. Atmospheric, until you wonder why your controller is glowing red and remember the horde is on its way.
