7 Days to Die 1.0 Streamer Weekend: Application Guide, Schedule, and Confirmed Creators

7 Days to Die·May 31, 2024·14 min read

The Fun Pimps are quietly building up steam for 7 Days to Die 1.0, the major update formerly known as Alpha 22. A firm release date is still missing, but the studio has locked in a Streamer Weekend that gives Twitch and YouTube creators an early hands-on with the rebuilt version. Here is the practical breakdown on how to get in, what is required, and what the event actually offers.

The Quick Pitch

The 1.0 Streamer Weekend is a controlled preview where The Fun Pimps hand out beta access codes to selected creators. Those codes unlock the latest build of version 1.0, the same one that ships at full release, so audiences get a real look at the new features through the channels they already follow.

Who Can Apply and How

The bar to apply is straightforward: 5,000 followers on Twitch or 5,000 subscribers on YouTube. Either platform counts, and you do not need both. Once you meet the threshold, the steps look like this:

  • Submit the official application form.
  • Wait for the developers to confirm you have been picked.
  • Record an announcement video, in English when possible, about your acceptance.
  • Reply to the confirmation email with the announcement link.
  • Wait for an invite to the official 7 Days to Die Streamer Weekend Discord, where the download password lives.
  • Once inside, set your nickname to your Twitch or YouTube handle so the team can match it to your application.

Announcement Video Requirements

When recording the acceptance video, the studio asks for two things. The clip should use phrases like "rough estimate" and "subject to change" when mentioning the event timing, since the date is not pinned down. You can place the announcement inside a larger video, but the link you submit must jump to the relevant segment. Accepted streamers can also say the weekend is happening soon, but should not commit to a specific day.

Fine Print From the Developers

A few details from the official announcement post are worth knowing before you apply:

  • Previous Streamer Weekend appearances do not carry over. Every creator submits a fresh application.
  • The Fun Pimps personally pick the lineup, looking for creators who represent the game well.
  • A paid copy of 7 Days to Die is required, along with real familiarity with the systems.
  • The 5,000-follower minimum applies to one platform, not both combined.
  • Selected streamers can host multiplayer 1.0 servers, letting friends or viewers join the test even if they were not picked themselves.

When Does It Actually Run

The Fun Pimps have only confirmed that the event lands somewhere in June 2024. No exact day yet. The studio's track record shows they do not stick to a fixed schedule, so trying to predict the precise window is a coin flip:

  • Alpha 18 Streamer Weekend: October 4 to October 6, 2019
  • Alpha 19 Streamer Weekend: June 26 to June 28, 2020
  • Alpha 20 Streamer Weekend: December 3 to December 5, 2021
  • Alpha 21 Streamer Weekend: June 9 to June 11, 2023

Expect at least a two-day heads-up before the weekend actually starts. Before that, fans can also tune in to the official 1.0 Developer Stream on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 9 PM CT. If you would rather keep playing instead of watching, hosting a 7 Days to Die dedicated server with HolyHosting is a solid way to keep the current build alive with friends while the new version cooks.

What to Expect Once Streams Go Live

The 1.0 build is not a small patch. Some of the additions creators will be showing off during the weekend include:

  • New animals, additional zombie variants, and fresh POIs
  • A VFX and graphics polish pass
  • A reworked gore system for zombies
  • Overhauled vehicle assets
  • Improved controller support and more

Confirmed Streamers So Far

At the time of writing, the accepted lineup is already a healthy mix of YouTube and Twitch channels. The list will likely grow as more creators get their confirmations:

If your channel clears the follower bar and you know the game inside out, sending in an application is still the move. The Streamer Weekend remains the cleanest way to see 1.0 before it hits the public branch.
