The Display Panel, introduced in Update 2.0.7, is a Factorio circuit network entity used to show icons and text. It is useful for labeling production lines, organizing malls, and making factory sections easier to understand at a glance.

First, unlock Circuit Network technology. It requires:
The Logistic Science Pack must be unlocked before Circuit Network can be researched.
After Circuit Network is complete, the Display Panel recipe becomes available. Crafting one requires:
Display Panels can be made manually or through Assembling Machines 1, 2, or 3.

Opening a Display Panel lets players choose the icon and text shown on the monitor. When connected to a Circuit Network, the panel can display different messages and images depending on configured conditions.
From a distance, the panel mainly shows its icon. Hovering over it reveals the text lines saved inside the entity.
One limitation is that a standard Display Panel cannot directly show item quantities as they move through the network. A Reddit user shared a no-mod number display blueprint that combines Display Panels with other entities to show numbers, though its parts may require extra gathering.
Mods can also change how the panel behaves. One example is GitHub user henwessels’ Larger Display Panels, which increases the monitor size up to 6x6 tiles instead of the standard 1x1.
