Minecraft and Fortnite Crossover: What the Leaks Really Show

Minecraft·March 7, 2025·4 min read

A wave of leaks has fans convinced that Minecraft and Fortnite are about to shake hands on a major collaboration. The reality, as usual, is a little messier than the rumor mill suggests.

The Two Leaked Roadmaps

Back in January 2025, a roadmap leaked online that outlined Mojang's longer-term plans for Minecraft. It mentioned things like the rumored spinoff Minecraft Spicewood and some vague brand collaborations, but Fortnite was nowhere in the picture. Then, in March 2025, a second roadmap surfaced and this one was far more specific. It listed an outright Minecraft and Fortnite crossover as part of the lineup.

That second leak gained credibility when an Enderman casually broke into the Fortnite "Floss" during the Minecraft Live 2025 announcement trailer. Plenty of people called that moment confirmation. Since then, well-known leakers from both the Minecraft and Fortnite scenes have come forward to call the second roadmap a fake.

So, Is the Crossover Real?

Based on what credible sources are saying today, the answer leans heavily toward no. Most of the hype traces back to that disputed second roadmap, and the only standalone piece of evidence left standing is the Enderman dance bit. Even that has a reasonable explanation. With its tall, thin frame and oversized arms, the Enderman is basically built to nail the Floss, and using a recognizable Fortnite dance in marketing is hardly unusual.

Neither Epic Games nor Mojang has confirmed anything, so a future collaboration is not off the table. For now though, treat any Minecraft and Fortnite crossover claim with a healthy dose of skepticism, at least until one of the companies actually says something on the record.
