There are two main versions of Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. Each has its own features and compatibility with different devices. This guide will help you understand what you can do with each version and what limitations you might face.

Compatible Devices 💻

• Windows/MacOS/Linux: This edition runs perfectly on any PC with these operating systems, as long as you have Java installed. If you’re playing versions above 1.12, you’ll need Java 8. But don’t worry! The game comes with its own version of Java, so it’s rare to encounter problems.

Game Modification 🛠️

• You can install mods using Forge or plugins with Spigot/Paper.

Important Note ⚠️On consoles, you cannot enter IP addresses to join third-party servers. There are workarounds, but we recommend researching based on your device.
