Holiday seasons mean seasonal events, and Valheim keeps the tradition alive with its annual Yule Event. For a few weeks each winter, Vikings can decorate their longhouses, craft festive trinkets, and stash gifts for their friends. Below is the complete rundown of when the event runs, what you can craft, and the materials you will need.

The Valheim Yule Event runs from December 1 to January 6 every year, giving players over a month to gather materials and decorate their bases. The event has not received new items since the 2023 update, but the existing seasonal lineup is still locked behind these dates. Once January 6 passes, the recipes vanish from your Workbench until next December.
Most of the Yule items are craftable at any Workbench using common materials. There are no boss fights to clear, no blueprints to discover, and no rare loot drops to chase. The only outlier is the Yule Hat, which has to be purchased.
Here is what you can collect during the event:
Anything you craft during the Yule window stays in the world after January 6. The recipes are removed, but already-built items remain placed and functional. The catch: if a Troll, an angry Greydwarf, or a careless friend destroys one of your decorations, it is gone for good. You will have to wait until next December to replace it.
The smart play is to craft a few extras while the event is live. Stash duplicates in a chest for repairs, or wrap up a couple of Yuleklapps as gifts for your co-op crew. Hosting a guild Yule party tends to land better when there are actual presents under the Yule Tree.
