Valheim drops players into a procedurally generated Norse survival world filled with crafting, building, exploration, and enough angry creatures to keep everyone humble. You can play solo or share the world with up to 9 other players on a server.
If you are new to multiplayer, joining a Valheim server is not always obvious. The two most common options are connecting with a direct IP address or finding the server in the Community browser.

Failed to Connect error: This usually means Valheim cannot reach the server. Restart the server from the panel, wait a minute or two, then try again. If it still fails, copy the IP address directly from the panel and paste it into the Join IP field to avoid typos.
The server asks for a password: Many public community servers require a password. If your own server asks for one unexpectedly, open the HolyHosting server panel, go to the server customization settings, and make sure the password field is blank. Restart the server afterward, then try joining again.
