Fenris Armor Set in Valheim: Recipes, Stats, and Where to Farm It

The Fenris Armor Set turns your viking into something closer to a snowbound brawler than a sword wielder. It boosts movement, shrugs off frost and fire, and rewards you for punching things bare handed. If that fits your build, the Mountain biome is your next destination.

Where to find the materials

Every component of the set comes from the Mountain biome, so pack warm gear before heading up. Three resources do most of the heavy lifting:

• Fenris Hair: drops inside Frost Caves, and it is genuinely scarce. Players have argued about its drop rate for years, and you will need 60 total to finish the set. If grinding caves is not your idea of fun, console commands can spawn it.
• Wolf Pelt: dropped by Wolves roaming the snow.
• Leather Scraps: dropped by Cultists, who patrol the same biome.

You also need one Cultist Trophy for the hood, which comes from the same Cultists you are already farming.

Crafting recipes

A Forge at level 2 or higher is required for every piece.

• Fenris Hood: 20x Fenris Hair, 2x Wolf Pelt, 1x Cultist Trophy
• Fenris Coat: 20x Fenris Hair, 5x Wolf Pelt, 10x Leather Scraps
• Fenris Leggings: 20x Fenris Hair, 5x Wolf Pelt, 10x Leather Scraps

While you are deep into the Mountain anyway, consider crafting the Flesh Rippers to match the set. The fist weapon takes 10x Fenris Hair, 6x Fenris Claw, and 10x Silver, and it scales nicely with the armor's unarmed bonus.

Full set stats and effects

Wearing the complete Fenris kit gives you the following:

• Armor: 30
• Weight: 21
• Movement speed: +9%
• Resistances: Frost and Fire
• Bonus: +15 damage on unarmed attacks

That last line is the whole reason to assemble the set. A brawler build pairing Flesh Rippers with full Fenris hits harder than most players expect, and the resistances let you wade into Frost Caves or volcanic Ashlands without instantly regretting your fashion choices.
