The Bear armor set is the newest piece of gear from Valheim's Call to Arms update, and it leans into a high-risk playstyle. You give up some physical protection in exchange for accelerated health and stamina recovery, which suits aggressive players who would rather heal through hits than block them.
For now, this armor only lives in the Public Test branch. The values, recipes, and bonuses listed below come from the Call to Arms patch notes and may shift before the update reaches the Stable branch.

The set has three pieces, each with its own ingredient list. These quantities cover the base tier. Upgrading at the workbench scales the requirements up at every quality level.

Bears are a new enemy type introduced by the same patch, and they roam exclusively in the Black Forest biome. A 0-star Bear drops 1 Bear Paw, 2 Bear Meat, and 4 Bear Hide on death. Doing the math, you need to take down at least four Bears to gather enough hides for the full Q1 set, plus the Trophy and Paws on top.
One catch: only a single Bear spawns per Black Forest biome per day. The fastest route is to clear one Bear, then move to a different Black Forest area instead of waiting for a respawn at the same spot.

Wearing all three pieces unlocks the following profile:
That armor rating beats the Troll set, but it still sits below the Bronze armor set and anything from later tiers. The Berserk effect is the real reason to wear it: if you can stomach the defensive penalty, the regen bonuses turn the set into a hit-and-heal toolkit for melee and woodcutting alike.
