How to Unlock and Equip the Pyric Core in Don't Starve Together

Hallowed Nights has returned to Don't Starve Together, bringing seasonal cosmetics, spooky decorations, and one especially warm-looking addition: the Pyric Core. This decorative Thermal Stone skin is part of the Orbital Collection and gives Halloween setups a brighter, stranger glow.

How to Get the Pyric Core

The Pyric Core is not earned inside Don't Starve Together. It is a Twitch Drop, which means you need to watch eligible streams instead of crafting, fighting, or bargaining with the Constant.

To unlock it, watch three hours of partnered Don't Starve Together streams during the drop campaign. The reward track also includes:

• Pyric Core Icon: Watch 30 minutes.
• Pyric Core Portrait: Watch 1.5 hours.
• Pyric Core Thermal Stone skin: Watch three hours.

The Twitch Drop event runs from October 27 to November 24. Before watching, make sure your Don't Starve Together account can receive drops by linking it to Twitch through the Klei account login page. Klei also posted the drop details in its Pyric Core Twitch announcement.

How to Equip the Pyric Core

After the three-hour watch requirement is complete and the reward reaches your account, the Pyric Core becomes available as a skin for the Thermal Stone. It replaces the plain rock look with a festive orb, because apparently even survival tools deserve seasonal fashion.

To apply the skin, you need a Clean Sweeper. That also means you need access to an Alchemy Engine first.

• Alchemy Engine: 4x Boards, 2x Cut Stone, and 2x Electrical Doodad
• Clean Sweeper: 1x Twigs and 4x Petals

Once you have the Clean Sweeper, stand near a Thermal Stone and interact with it. The item will cycle through the Thermal Stone skins you own. Keep swapping until the Pyric Core appears, then enjoy the rest of Hallowed Nights with a much more dramatic heat rock.
