How to Unlock and Equip the Minecraft Movie Home and Menace Capes

Minecraft·March 22, 2025·10 min read

Mojang celebrated the Minecraft movie with two limited-time cosmetic capes: Home and Menace. Both were earned through short watch campaigns, then redeemed through the Minecraft website before their codes expired.

Minecraft Movie Cape Rewards

Home Cape

The Home cape came from a Twitch watch campaign. It could be earned until April 6th at 5 PM EDT by watching three minutes of any participating Twitch Partner or Affiliate streaming in the Minecraft category while logged into a registered Twitch account.

After the campaign requirement was completed, Twitch sent the code through a notification. Campaign progress could be checked on the Twitch Drops campaigns page.

To redeem the cape, players needed to visit the Minecraft redemption page here, enter the code, and select Redeem. The important part was being logged into the correct Minecraft account before using the code. Cape codes are not the place for account roulette.

Menace Cape

The Menace cape came from a TikTok watchtime quest. It could also be earned until April 6th at 5 PM EDT by watching three minutes of a Minecraft creator's TikTok Live while logged into a registered TikTok account.

This campaign had a few extra requirements. The code could only be earned through the iOS or Android TikTok apps, not the website. The viewer's account and the TikTok Live being watched also needed rewards enabled. Once the watchtime quest was complete, TikTok was expected to send a notification with the code.

Redeeming the Menace cape used the same Minecraft redemption page here. Players entered the code, selected Redeem, and made sure the right account was active first.
