Turning Off Fall Damage in Your Hytale World Config

Hytale gives you plenty of room to bend the rules of your world. If you are running a creative build, a server hub, or a custom gamemode where gravity is more of a suggestion than a law, switching off fall damage is a small config tweak that pays off quickly.

Editing the World Config

  1. Open your HolyHosting control panel and press Stop to take the server offline.
  2. Open your file manager or connect via FTP and sign in.
  1. Move into `universe / worlds / [Your World]`.
  1. Open `config.json` and search for `IsFallDamageEnabled`.
  2. Change its value to `false`, then click Save at the bottom.
  1. Head back to the main panel, start the server, and jump in to confirm the change.

Why Disable Fall Damage

Fall damage makes sense in a survival world, but it gets in the way on hub spawns, parkour staging zones, or creative plots where players spend their time testing builds at altitude. Removing it from the config cuts out a whole class of accidental deaths, from deep caves to rooftop edits gone wrong. If you ever change your mind, flip `IsFallDamageEnabled` back to `true` and your world plays by the original rules again.
