TheeSizzler Sets an 11:07 Minecraft 1.16 Speedrun Record
The Minecraft speedrunning scene kept pushing lower, and TheeSizzler delivered another major 1.16 run. After recording the attempt on March 20th, the run was later verified by the Minecraft speedrunning moderation team and added to the leaderboard.
The New Record Holder
TheeSizzler set the new Minecraft 1.16 world record time after spending 197 days away from the top spot. The return was not a small improvement either.
Minecraft 1.16 Record Time
Before this run, fe666 had posted an 11:50 time, which was already an impressive mark for the category. TheeSizzler lowered that record to 11:07, cutting 43 seconds from the previous best time.
In speedrunning terms, that is not a gentle nudge. It is a very loud shove down the leaderboard.
