Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons, often shortened to R.A.D., is a Minecraft modpack built around exploration, quests, boss fights, and steady character progression. It includes 166 mods, with features from BiblioCraft, Aether, Roguelike Dungeons, Pyramid Plunder, Better Questing, and many more.
The result is a pack where preparing for the next trip matters almost as much as the dungeon itself. Players can hunt for stronger equipment, level up gear, fight enemies that scale with progression, explore other dimensions, and work through a large achievement tree. You can travel as a wizard, tank, bard, spelunker, or just the person carrying too many backpacks because someone has to do it.

A fresh world is strongly suggested. Existing vanilla or unrelated modded worlds may be missing required structures, dimensions, mobs, or loot tables.
Every player must install the same R.A.D. modpack locally before joining the server.

R.A.D. stands out because it makes questing feel tied to actual adventure instead of a checklist taped to the side of Minecraft. Before taking on a harder dungeon, players may need better weapons, stronger armor, improved storage, or a plan for surviving whatever unpleasant surprise waits behind the next door.
The pack also supports long expeditions well. Backpacks and dimension-friendly storage help during deep runs, while smarter tamed wolves can join the journey. Enemies remain threatening because many mobs scale with the player, including special variants such as lightning creepers. Subtle? No. Effective? Very.
This usually means the modpack is not installed correctly on the player's computer. Confirm that the official Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons pack is installed through CurseForge and that Minecraft is launched from that profile.
This can happen if a mod was removed from a world that already used it. Open the server console and run:
`/fml confirm`
This forces the world to continue loading with the missing mod content removed.
If items show in the creative menu but do not generate or function properly on the server, the server may not be running the correct modpack. Recheck that R.A.D. is selected in the server panel, then restart the server fully.
