How to Play MadPack 3 on a Minecraft Server

MadPack 3 Overview

Vanilla Minecraft has earned its place as a classic, but modpacks exist for players who want more machines, systems, storage, and a little extra chaos. MadPack 3 is a Minecraft 1.7.10 modpack built by Kehaan and Jon Bams, combining technology, automation, magic-like item duplication, decoration, and performance improvements into one packed experience.

What MadPack 3 Includes

MadPack 3 is a broad modpack with roughly 90 mods, making it suitable for small groups or larger server communities. Players can build ore-processing factories with mods such as BuildCraft, Big Reactors, and MineFactory Reloaded, then organize the results with an Applied Energistics ME storage system.

The pack also gives builders and collectors plenty to work with. BiblioCraft can be used for libraries and display spaces, while Malisis' Doors lets players create custom doors from different blocks. ProjectE brings back a familiar style of item duplication inspired by Equivalent Exchange 2, which is handy if your storage room is somehow still not excessive enough.

FastCraft is enabled by default in the pack. This helps improve Minecraft performance, especially on older 1.7.10 setups where a heavy mod list can otherwise start to feel sluggish.

Installing MadPack 3 on Your Computer

MadPack 3 can be installed on Windows and macOS through ATLauncher.

  1. Download and install ATLauncher.
  2. Open ATLauncher and go to the Packs section.
  3. Search for Madpack.
  4. Select the pack, then click New Instance.
  5. Once the instance is created, open the Instances section.
  6. Launch MadPack 3 when you are ready to play.

After the client is installed, use the matching MadPack 3 version when connecting to a server. Version mismatches are one of the most common reasons modded players cannot join, because Minecraft enjoys being very particular about its parts.
