Palworld Wumpo Guide: Where to Find, How to Breed, and Combat Tips

Palworld·January 2, 2026·21 min read

Wumpo is the kind of Pal that quietly solves your inventory problems. This hulking Ice-type roams the frozen north of Palworld and carries enough cargo to make any expedition feel light. Anyone who has tried to haul logs across the map without one will appreciate the difference. Below is everything needed to track Wumpo down, breed it on purpose, and stop dying to it in the snow.

Where Wumpo Spawns

Head north into the Snow biome and Wumpo packs become a regular sight wandering the icy terrain. Capture attempts work around the clock here, since the species stays active after dark instead of vanishing like other regional Pals. The cold itself is the bigger threat, so cold-resistant gear matters more than the hunt.

For a tougher fight with better loot, look for the Alpha Boss version inside the Sacred Mountain Cavern dungeon in the same region. Beating or capturing this larger variant yields rarer drops. Note that Alpha Pals received a flat health buff in Update 0.2.4.0, with maximum HP scaled up by 1.2x across the board.

A third option lives at coordinates -300, 385: the Rampaging Predator Wumpo. Bring real damage to this one. The reward is Predator Cores and Giant Pal Souls, which matter for endgame crafting.

Hatching a Wumpo from Eggs

Large Frozen Eggs are the breeding output that can produce a Wumpo. The catch is that several other Ice Pals roll out of the same egg, so leaving it to chance is rarely efficient. Possible results include:

  • Cryolinx
  • Foxcicle
  • Polapup
  • Reptyro Cryst
  • Sibelyx
  • Sweepa
  • Vanwyrm Cryst
  • Whalaska

To force the Wumpo result and skip the roulette, send one of these confirmed pairs into the Breeding Farm:

  • Penking and Sweepa
  • Mozzarina and Blazamut
  • Celaray and Shadowbeak
  • Celaray and Suza
  • Dumud and Suzaku Aqua
  • Arsox and Orserk
  • Arsox and Cryolinx

Any of these combinations guarantees a Large Frozen Egg destined to hatch into Wumpo, which saves a lot of grinding compared to praying for RNG.

Fighting and Capturing Wumpo

Ice Pals fold under Fire pressure, and Wumpo is no exception. Bring a Fire-type squad and the health bar drops quickly enough to safely lob spheres before the giant collapses. Suzaku, Jormuntide Ignis, and Blazamut Ryu all work, with the latter two carrying enough raw output to chew through Alpha variants too.

Upgraded spheres help once Wumpo is in critical health, since this Pal does not go quietly when its bar is low.
