Palworld is at its best when a few friends are building bases, catching Pals, clearing dungeons, and getting into trouble together. To do that on a dedicated world, every player needs to know how to connect to the server first.
There are two main ways to join a Palworld server: connecting directly with the IP address and port, or searching for the server by name. The direct IP method is usually the most reliable, especially for the first connection.
Using the server address is the clearest way to connect. If you own the server, open your HolyHosting server panel and copy the server IP and port from the main server details. The address should normally look like an IP followed by a colon and port number, such as `123.45.67.89:25606`.

If everything is correct and the server is online, Palworld should load you into the multiplayer world. If not, the port is the first thing to inspect. It is small, easy to miss, and very good at ruining an otherwise normal afternoon.
Palworld also allows players to search for community servers by name. This can be convenient once it works, but it is less dependable than direct connection. If you manage the server, set the public server name in your server settings, save the change, and restart the server before searching for it in-game.

At the time of writing, searching by server name can be inconsistent. For the first join, use the direct `IP Address:Port` method whenever possible. After you connect successfully, the server should appear under Recent Servers, which makes future joins much faster.
If the server name search does not work, confirm that Community Servers is selected before searching. Also make sure the server name was saved correctly and that the server was restarted after the change.
If the IP connection fails, copy the address again from the server panel and confirm the port is included after the colon. Then check whether the Palworld server is online, fully started, and not currently restarting. When the details are correct but the connection still fails, restart the game and try again.
