Palworld v0.1.5.0 Patch Breakdown: Keyboard Rebinds, Pal Fixes, and Tougher Police

Palworld·February 27, 2024·14 min read

Pocket Pair keeps polishing its monster-taming survival hit, and Palworld v0.1.5.0 is the latest round of housekeeping. No fresh content this time, but a long list of fixes, quality-of-life tweaks, and a few balance changes that should make life on the island smoother for both casual tamers and dedicated server admins.

What Palworld v0.1.5.0 Actually Changes

If you were waiting for new biomes, Pals, or bosses, this is not that patch. Update v0.1.5.0 on Steam and Xbox is a maintenance drop focused on stability, control options, and behavior tweaks. The headline additions are full keyboard remapping, save data backups, and a meaner police response when you decide to punch a merchant.

Full Keyboard Remapping

Keybinds are finally fully customizable. Every in-game keyboard command can be rebound, which is a big deal for left-handed players, southpaw mouse users, and anyone who prefers their own muscle memory over Pocket Pair's defaults.

Save Data Backups

A backup option now lives directly on the world selection screen. The patch also addresses an issue where save files were bloating with unnecessary data, so loading times and storage usage should both drop for long-running worlds.

Aggressive Pals Without Babysitting

Previously, ordering a Pal to attack aggressively still required you to start the fight. Now your Pal will engage enemies on its own, even if you are nowhere near combat. Handy for AFK farming runs, like grinding Honey from a few unlucky Cinnamoth.

Bigger Police Response

Attacking friendly NPCs is no longer a slap on the wrist. The Pal Police Force shows up in much larger numbers, so think twice before mugging a traveling merchant. One exception: the Black Marketeer is on his own. The cops will not save him.

Palworld v0.1.5.0 Full Patch Notes (February 26, 2024)

The full set of changes from the official notes is broken down below.

Major Fixes

  • Save data backup option added to the world selection screen.
  • Resolved buildup of unnecessary data inside save files.

Key Configuration

  • Fully customizable keyboard rebinding is now supported.

Guild

  • Guild members can now be kicked while offline.

  • Improved targeting accuracy when interacting with adjacent objects.

Pals

  • Aggressive command now triggers attacks on any nearby enemy, even outside active combat.
  • Pals at rank 1 or higher can be selected as concentration material. Higher-rank Pals contribute more points.

  • Mossanda's Grenadier Panda partner skill no longer launches dungeon bosses into walls.

Base Issues

  • Pals no longer get stranded on top of logging sites.

  • Fixed Pals looping the transport task and spamming the light bulb icon.
  • Pals can no longer get stuck inside rooftop farms.
  • Dedicated server restarts no longer trap worker Pals inside the Palbox summon space.
  • Default base work priorities adjusted. Anubis now favors manual labor.
  • Building restrictions on stairs and triangular roofs significantly loosened.
  • Fixed infinite loop sound bug triggered by certain Pal active skills.
  • Environmental temperature now stacks from all sources. Four campfires next to each other will give you a portable lava field.
  • New relax work mode available on the monitoring stand.

Balance Adjustments

  • Digtoise's partner mining skill significantly buffed.
  • Nail selling price corrected. They are no longer the gold standard.
  • More police officers spawn in response to crimes.
  • Free Pal Alliance crossbows now apply an electric shock effect.
  • Adjusted projectile range for the Sphere Launcher and Scatter Sphere Launcher.
  • High-quality hot springs restore more SAN value.

Network

  • Server lobby fully reworked.
  • Search by server name is now functional.
  • Online player count visible on dedicated servers.
  • Community servers must enable the setting to show this list.

Other Fixes

  • Day 5 Memo now spawns correctly.
  • In-game brightness slider added to settings.
  • Numerous smaller bug fixes.
  • Various text errors corrected.
  • Anti-cheat measures strengthened.

Bottom Line

Palworld v0.1.5.0 is a quiet but meaningful patch. No new Pals, but the keyboard rebinding, fairer crime system, and smarter aggressive attack behavior all push the experience closer to where it should be. If you run a dedicated server, the lobby rework and online player visibility are reason enough to update tonight.
