Palworld Splatterina Guide: Spawn Locations, Breeding Combos, and Combat Tips

Palworld·January 22, 2025·12 min read

Splatterina arrived with the Palworld Feybreak Update and brought a heavy dose of Dark-type firepower to anyone unprepared for it. This Pal hits hard, teleports around the battlefield, and rewards trainers who plan their fights well. Below you'll find every spawn point, the best breeding recipes, and a solid strategy for taking it down or stuffing it into a Sphere.

Where to Find Splatterina

Splatterina shows up across most of Feybreak Island, making it one of the easier Dark Pals to locate. The catch is timing: this Pal only roams during nighttime, so daytime explorers will come up empty-handed.

For something tougher, head to the Bloodstained Tunnel to face an Alpha Splatterina. Fast travel to the Scorched Hill point and walk south toward coordinates -1210, -1387 to reach the cave entrance. The Alpha boss waits near the back of the cavern.

A Predator variant also prowls Sakurajima Island at coordinates -620, 223 for trainers chasing the rarest version available.

Breeding and Hatching Splatterina

You can also try your luck with a Dark Egg. The lottery isn't generous: the same egg type can hatch Hoocrates, Depresso, or Loupmoon, so don't be shocked if your first attempt yields disappointment. To stack the odds in your favor, pair up these breeding combos at the Breeding Center:

  • Dinossom and Omascul
  • Mimog and Faleris Aqua
  • Nox and Xenolord
  • Pyrin Noct and Ribbuny Botan
  • Ribbuny Botan and Faleris Aqua
  • Orserk and Foxparks Cryst
  • Rayhound and Nitemary

Defeating and Capturing Splatterina

Wild Splatterinas are fairly manageable once you're at higher levels with a decent roster. Dragon-type Pals chew through their Dark resistance and bring them to capture range without too much trouble.

The Alpha variant is a different conversation entirely. This level 58 Dark Pal swings with Dark Ball, Umbral Surge, and its signature move, Grudge Barrage. Staying mobile and keeping distance is the smarter approach. Long-range gear pays off here, so equip a Crossbow or Assault Rifle, especially their legendary versions, and pack plenty of ammo before stepping into the tunnel.

Bring your strongest Dragon-type companions like Orserk, Quivern, or Jetragon to apply pressure quickly. If you want to capture the Alpha intact instead of accidentally KO'ing it, slot in the Ring of Mercy before the fight begins.

That covers everything you need before heading out for the hunt. Bring the right gear, the right team, and a Ring of Mercy if you'd rather not explain why your prize Alpha is no longer breathing.
