The Lovander joined Palworld during its Early Access launch and earned a quick following. Its Partner Skill heals both you and itself in combat without burning through consumables, which makes it valuable for long expeditions and steady base work. Here is where to find one, how to breed for it on purpose, and what its kit actually looks like at every level.

The Lovander is a Neutral-type Pal that prefers the desert biome in the northeast section of the Palworld map and only appears after dark. Spawn density is reasonable, so capturing one is mostly a question of getting there in one piece.

That biome will not negotiate with unprepared trainers. Standing around without heat protection drains your health steadily, so equip the Heat Resistant Metal Armor (or anything better) before heading in. Skipping this step turns the hunt into a very short walk.
Two variants are worth knowing about:

Lovander can hatch from a Large Common Egg, but those eggs also produce Celesdir, Mimog, Dogen, or Lunaris. For a guaranteed result, send one of the following pairs to the Breeding Center:

Lovander's defenses are not built for sustained punishment, and any decent Dark-type Pal will chew through its health bar quickly. Frostallion Noct, Pyrin Noct, Shadowbeak, and Mensating are all reliable picks. The catch is restraint: hit it too hard and there is nothing left to capture. Equip the Ring of Mercy so you and your Pal stop short of finishing it off.
With heat-resistant gear, a Dark-type partner, and a Ring of Mercy on standby, Lovander stops being a tricky catch and starts pulling its weight as a healer in the field.
