Dog Coins are the second currency added to Palworld with the Sakurajima Update, and they behave nothing like regular Gold. Only one vendor in the entire Palpagos archipelago accepts them, which sounds limiting until you see the inventory: rare cosmetics, stat-boosting fruits, and elixirs that permanently change how your character plays. This guide breaks down every reliable way to stack Dog Coins and what to actually spend them on.

There are four confirmed sources right now, and most players will mix all of them rather than grinding a single loop:

If you only have time for one method, clearing Syndicate Thug Camps is the strongest return per minute. The camps are everywhere, the enemies respawn after a reset, and each kill has a chance to drop a small stack of Dog Coins. As a bonus, many camps hold a captured Pal in a cage. Free it and it joins your roster, which is a nicer surprise than the usual loot table.
For players who can survive a beating, the Oil Rig stronghold takes this idea further. It is packed with hostile humans and the density of drops is excellent, but the fights are punishing. Bring proper gear, ammo, and a Pal team built for sustained combat. Showing up underleveled is a quick way to donate your backpack.
The other notable method is tracking down Mimogs. They are scattered across the Palpagos Islands, almost always as a single spawn rather than a pack, so this method works better as a side activity while exploring than as a dedicated farm. Capture them for the Paldeck entry, or defeat them if your party is already full.
Scrap Piles and random world chests round out the list. Neither is worth a dedicated route, but loot them whenever you walk past.

Dog Coins are useless without their dedicated vendor: the Medal Merchant. Unlike the Black Marketeer, this NPC does not stick to one spot. He rotates between churches and ruins, so you may need to check a few before he appears.
The Desolate Church is the usual recommendation as a first stop. His bright golden coat stands out against the stone interiors, so once you are in the right building he is hard to miss.
Prices are paid entirely in Dog Coins:
The Life, Power, and Stout Fruits are the highest-value buys for most players, since each one permanently raises HP, attack, or defense. Elixirs grant smaller permanent bonuses to specific stats and are worth grabbing whenever the Merchant has stock. Save the schematics and the Ripe Awakening Starfruit for late-game runs where the cost is easier to absorb.
