Palworld Ancient Technology Points Guide

Ancient Technology unlocks some of Palworld's most interesting tools, but the points needed for it work differently from regular Technology Points. If you want grappling hooks, homing spheres, and other unusual upgrades, you need to hunt bosses rather than grind normal levels.

How Ancient Technology Points Are Earned

Ancient Technology Points are awarded only from boss victories. These bosses include Alpha Pals found around the world and the five major bosses inside ancient towers.

The reward is limited to the first time you defeat each boss. Beating the same Alpha Pal or tower boss again will not keep handing out Ancient Technology Points, so this is not a resource that can be farmed. Major tower bosses give five points, while Alpha Pals give one point.

Where to Find Bosses That Award Them

Major bosses are located in the five ancient glowing towers across the map. The Syndicate Tower from the tutorial is the first one most players encounter.

Alpha Pals are giant versions of standard Pals and appear on the map as large circles once discovered. Exploring new regions gradually reveals more of these encounters, which makes map progression directly tied to unlocking more Ancient Technology.

Can Every Ancient Technology Be Unlocked?

Yes, all Ancient Technologies can be unlocked, but doing so requires defeating every major boss and every Alpha Pal that awards points.

Because points are limited early on, spend them carefully. Prioritize the technologies that match how you play, then branch into the rest once stronger teams and better equipment make boss hunting easier.

The Fastest Way to Get More Points

There is no shortcut for quickly farming Ancient Technology Points. The practical route is to level up, build a stronger Pal team, craft better gear, and use that progress to defeat tougher bosses.

That may sound less exciting than a secret farming trick, but Palworld is quite firm here: bosses first, points second. Keep exploring, mark Alpha Pal locations, and return when your team is ready for the fight.
