Palworld Ancient Pal Manuscripts Guide: Expedition Sources and Research Uses

Ancient Pal Manuscripts are rare Palworld materials added with the Feybreak update. They are earned through Pal Expeditions and spent on permanent research upgrades for bases and worker Pals. The item is written on Pal hide, which is useful, slightly grim, and very Palworld.

Where to Find Ancient Pal Manuscripts

Ancient Pal Manuscripts come from Pal Expeditions, a feature introduced in the Feybreak Update. To start using expeditions, build a Pal Expedition Station after unlocking it at Level 15 for 2x Technology Points.

The Pal Expedition Station requires:

• 20x Wood
• 20x Stone
• 5x Paldium Fragment

Only one Pal Expedition Station can be built per base. However, each station can run multiple assigned expeditions.

After placing the station, interact with it, choose an available destination, and assign eligible Pals. Up to 100 allied Pals can be sent on a single expedition if they match the required type and are not in your party or currently working.

Not every expedition can reward Ancient Pal Manuscripts. Send Pals to these locations for manuscript chances:

• Cave in the Grassland
• Forest's Secret Realm
• Volcanic Inferno Cave
• Hidden Ruins of the Desert

Ancient Pal Manuscripts are spent at the Pal Labor Research Laboratory. This station unlocks permanent research bonuses, including base upgrades and work suitability improvements.

Unlock the Pal Labor Research Laboratory at Level 20, then craft it with 10x Ingot and 10x Paldium Fragment. Once placed, interact with it to spend Ancient Pal Manuscripts and other materials on research.
