Palworld 2024 Roadmap: PvP, Raids, Crossplay, and Planned Updates

Palworld·January 24, 2024·5 min read

Palworld's 2024 roadmap gave Early Access players a clearer look at what Pocketpair planned to tackle after launch. The list included immediate fixes, quality-of-life upgrades, and larger future features like PvP and raid bosses.

Palworld 2024 Roadmap Overview

After Palworld's Early Access release, players reported several problems, including loading screen issues and days played being reset. Pocketpair acknowledged those bugs and stated that fixes were being worked on. Those issues were expected to appear in the game's first post-launch patch notes.

The roadmap also mentioned upcoming improvements to key configuration. Pal AI, especially base-working Pals, was another focus. Some players had reported Pals ignoring assignments even after being picked up and thrown into the correct work area, which is one way to make management feel less like strategy and more like babysitting with fur.

Planned Future Features

Beyond bug fixes and base improvements, Pocketpair announced several future additions through the Palworld roadmap and related community roadmap post:

  • PvP
  • Raid Bosses as end-game content
  • Pal Arena
  • Steam-Xbox crossplay
  • Various Xbox feature improvements
  • Server transfers and migrations
  • Building system improvements
  • New islands, Pals, bosses, and technologies

These planned updates gave players working through the Paldeck more reasons to keep building, breeding, and preparing. PvP, raid bosses, and the Pal Arena were especially notable for players looking for more end-game goals.

Playing Palworld With Friends

At the time covered by the source, Palworld had sold over 7 million copies on its fifth day after release. Players who wanted to experience Pal-catching with friends could use a dedicated server to create a shared world and continue preparing for future updates.
