Curing zombie villagers is one of the easiest ways to build up a village without moving villagers across half the world. It also rewards you with trade discounts, which makes the whole process worth the mild danger of keeping a zombie indoors.
A zombie villager cure needs two items: a Splash Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple.
To make the splash potion, gather a brewing stand, a water bottle, a fermented spider eye, and gunpowder. Place the water bottle in the brewing stand, then brew it with the fermented spider eye to create a Potion of Weakness. Leave the potion in the stand and add gunpowder to turn it into a Splash Potion of Weakness.
For the Golden Apple, place an apple in the center of a crafting table and surround it with eight gold ingots.

Zombie villagers can spawn anywhere normal zombies spawn. Once you find one, a boat is a simple way to trap it. Place the boat under or near its feet so it gets inside. Since leads can be attached to boats, you can then move the zombie villager more safely.
Before curing, build a temporary shelter around it. The conversion is not instant, and sunlight can burn the zombie villager before it finishes. A shelter also prevents other zombies from attacking the villager after the cure completes.

When everything is ready, throw the Splash Potion of Weakness at the zombie villager. Then feed it the Golden Apple. The zombie villager will begin shaking and producing golden particles, which means the cure is working.
After one to two minutes, it will transform into a villager matching the current biome. From there, use the boat to move the villager into a safer home, assign a workstation if needed, and enjoy the new trades and discount.
