Minecraft Pale Garden Blocks and Items Guide

Minecraft·December 3, 2024·12 min read

The Pale Garden is quiet, washed-out, and not especially welcoming once night arrives. It also brings a full set of new blocks and items, from pale oak wood pieces to the creaking heart that can summon the creaking when set up correctly. Here is every Pale Garden block and item to look for before the biome decides to stare back.

Every Pale Garden Block and Item

Pale Oak Sapling

Pale oak saplings grow much like dark oak saplings. Place four of them in a two-by-two square, leave at least seven blocks of open space above, and they can grow into a pale oak tree.

Pale Oak Log

Pale oak logs stand out with grey bark and a bright white interior. Using an axe to strip the bark creates stripped pale oak logs, turning the block into an even cleaner white variant.

Pale Oak Leaves

Pale oak leaves use a grey-to-black palette, giving the trees a faded look that feels almost like old black-and-white film. Cheerful? Not really. Stylish? Absolutely.

Pale Oak Wood Set

Pale oak includes the expected full wood family. Players can craft pale boats, buttons, doors, fences, fence gates, hanging signs, planks, pressure plates, signs, slabs, stairs, and trapdoors.

Pale Moss Carpet

Pale moss carpet has a visual spreading effect around the block where it is placed, reaching up to two nearby blocks. Applying bone meal also makes it spread, which is the easiest way to gather more.

Pale Moss Block

Pale moss blocks also respond to bone meal, but they work differently from the carpet version. Instead of simply creating extra carpet, they spread by converting nearby blocks into pale moss.

Pale Hanging Moss

Pale hanging moss naturally appears below pale oak leaves inside Pale Garden biomes. It stays at its generated length unless bone meal is used, which allows it to grow longer.

Creaking Heart

The creaking heart is the most important block in the biome. It can generate inside pale oak trees and, at night, spawn a creaking mob. Each heart is tied to one creaking, and that creaking cannot move more than thirty blocks away from its heart.

Players can collect creaking hearts with a Silk Touch axe and place them elsewhere. To activate one, it must be nighttime and the heart must sit between two vertically stacked pale oak logs.

A creaking heart can also be crafted with two pale oak logs placed above and below one block of resin on a crafting table.

Resin Clump

Resin comes from creaking hearts. When the creaking connected to a heart is hit, resin clumps can drop and also generate on nearby pale oak logs around the hidden heart. Resin clumps can be smelted into resin bricks or crafted into resin blocks.

Resin Bricks

Resin bricks provide a warm orange building set. The block family includes resin bricks, chiseled resin bricks, slabs, stairs, and walls.

Eyeblossoms

Eyeblossoms are Pale Garden flowers with two separate states. They open at night and close during the day. When collected, the open and closed forms count as separate items, and the state only changes while the flower is placed in the world.
