Minecraft News Roundup: Jurassic World DLC, Fall Guys Rumors, and the Pickaxe Olympics

Jurassic World Arrives in Minecraft

Mojang dropped a sizable content pack onto the Marketplace with the new Jurassic World DLC, giving players the tools to build and operate their own dinosaur park. The bundle packs in more than 60 dinosaurs (including the expected fan favorites alongside a healthy serving of hybrids) plus 21 character skins on top.

For builders who prefer to skip the mod manager, this is a rare officially supported way to drop dinosaurs into a survival world. Since the pack ships straight from Mojang, the quality control is what you would expect from a first-party release rather than the usual community grab bag.

The official trailer is available here, and the pack itself can be picked up directly on the Minecraft Marketplace.

Could Fall Guys Skins Land in Minecraft?

Fall Guys is having a moment. The party-style battle royale has hooked players across every age bracket and turned itself into one of the loudest names in gaming this year.

That popularity has sparked an open bidding war on social media, with brands lining up for branded costume slots and the chance to slip their identity into the chaos. Minecraft, given its decade-long reign as a multigenerational staple, is an obvious contender for the list.

A two-way crossover between Steve and a wobbly bean would be a marketing person's dream. Mojang has plenty of competition in the queue, though, so whether anything materializes is anyone's guess.

The Pickaxe Olympics

Lighter news to wrap up the week. A Reddit user recently posted a video the community is now calling the Pickaxe Olympics.

The premise is simple. Every pickaxe tier lines up at the start of a long row of stone blocks and auto-mines forward until it either reaches the end or breaks first. The result is a clear, head-to-head visual of speed and durability across wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite.

It is the kind of demonstration that beats reading a wiki page. Visual learners get a direct sense of which tools are worth crafting and which ones shatter before they finish a sentence. If the format catches on, expect similar runs for enchantments and other gear in the near future.
