Multiverse Portals Tutorial

The Multiverse Portals plugin is popular in Minecraft, as it provides you with ways to create interactive portals. These can be set up in a single world or across multiple ones, even crossing dimens

1. While in the game, build your desired portal and run the //wand command. [Multiverse Portals](holy.gg)

2. Then, select your two positions for players to enter the portal. [Multiverse

Portal Creation](holy.gg)

3. After doing this, run /mvp create [name1] to make the portal. [Multiverse Portal Creation](holy.gg)

4. Repeat this process for your second portal, but with a new label [name2].

5. Run /mvp select [name1] for the first portal, then /mvp modify dest p:[name2] [Multiverse Portal Creation](holy.gg)

6. Run the same commands, but with your other name label to finalize the setup.

7. If successful, you should be able to teleport between portals on the server.

When you are done making all your portals, we recommend installing LuckPerms or another permission management plugin to enable portals for your players. This involves assigning the node

Make sure the name label is spelled correctly, along with everything else, so they can start using the portal(s). Similar permission nodes will be used for other interact

Using Sign Portals

Instead of having real portals for players to enter, you can opt to create signs for that. The use of the Multiverse Sign Portals plugin is how you and others can implement this func

In other words, you will have to make a real portal before using this feature. Additionally, players will need to have the access permission nodes before teleporting with signs. With all this

1. While having existing portals on the server, place a sign where you want.

2. Write [mv] on the second line, then enter p:[name] on the third to make a portal sign. [Multiverse Sign Portals](holy.gg)

3. Then, right-click on the sign to see if you teleport correctly. [Multiverse Sign Portal](holy.gg)

Note: If "[mv]" is in red, then the sign was not created correctly for this setup.

How to Link Nether Portals

Many Minecraft survival servers with Multiverse installed want to have multiple Nether dimensions. The use of the Multiverse Nether Portals plugin is how this is achieved. The process

1. Create a Nether portal in your desired world, then run /mv create [world] nether in chat. [Multiverse Nether Portal](holy.gg)

2. Then, run /mvnp link nether [world1] [world2] to connect the portals. [Multiverse Nether Portal Linking](holy.gg)

3. Run the same command again, but switch the world names so everything works.

4. If successful, you will be able to teleport between dimensions for that world. [Multiverse Nether Portal Link](holy.gg)

Optional: Use /mvtp link end ... if you also want the other dimension.

Multiverse Inventories Guide

Whether you're in survival or creative mode, sometimes it's useful to have a shared inventory or other aspects on your Minecraft server. This is amplified if you're hosting factions with mines

1. Run the /mv list command, then type /mvinv group to start the process.

[Multiverse Inventories](holy.gg)

2. Take note of your desired worlds, then enter "Create" in the chat to continue.

3. Choose a name for this group, then type your corresponding world names. [Multiverse Group Creation](holy.gg)

4. Then, enter "@" and select a sharing option for this group. [Multiverse Sharing Options](holy.gg)

Note: using "all" is preferred, but here is a complete list of them.

5. When you're done, type "@" again in chat to successfully create the group. [Multiverse World Sharing Setup](holy.gg)

6. If successful, you will have the sharing options enabled between your worlds.

Common Issues

Multiverse Plugins Not Working

In some cases, players may notice that no plugins are working on the Minecraft server. This is likely due to not installing the main Multiverse-Core plugin, as

Portal 1 Works, but Not Portal 2

After setting up your Multiverse portals and only the first one works, make sure to correctly configure the other remaining gate. Remember, you must use the /mvp select [name] command before d

Cannot Teleport with Portals/Signs

If players cannot use portals, even though they are set up correctly, consider checking permissions. Remember, users or groups must have the multiverse.portal.a node

Nether World Not Found

An extremely common issue is that the world does not find a Nether dimension to use in the portal. This happens when an incorrect link has been made.

Remember, you must first create the Nether with the /mv create [world] nether command before linking anything. After doing this, connect them and vice versa so both directions work correctly

Shared Options Not Applied

After setting up a group for shared options, you may still have some issues. This can be frustrating, especially if you are using the server's default worlds
