With Minecraft 1.19 approaching in the original source context, players faced one urgent question: would Devil Dogs be added to Minecraft?
Mojang had never announced Devil Dogs, the Hostess treat, for the game. Yet the company had also never denied it. In serious investigative work, silence is at least eyebrow-raising.
A request for comment was sent to Mojang. No response had arrived at the time of writing. Could fear explain it? Was the secret leaking like vanilla creme filling? Only time could answer.
What is time? Professor Stephen Hawking described time as “an illusion that moves relative to its observer.” HolyHosting takes a simpler view: the only time that matters is your fastest vanilla Minecraft speedrun.
That time would become harder to repeat once Minecraft 1.19 added The Warden. Full netherite would not guarantee safety. Without enchantments, three hits could be enough, and careless miners would meet the respawn screen quickly.
Balance, however, would arrive through gentle frogs in swamp biomes alongside mangrove logs. That was where the clues aligned.
Frogs. Logs. Devil Dogs.
The theory became clear: something would appear in the server logs while cutting mangrove logs, but only after saying Devil Dogs to Minecraft frogs. After careful experimentation, the message appeared:
[07:11:27 ERROR] Error occurred while enabling Fast Turtles v2.1 (Is it up to date?)
The message remains undeciphered. Still, one conclusion seems unavoidable: Devil Dogs are near. Or Fast Turtles needs an update. Both are alarming.
