Minecraft Creaking Cape Guide for the Office Party Event

Minecraft·December 15, 2024·15 min read

The Minecraft Office Party event made the Creaking Cape available to players who finished all five daily challenges before the event ended on December 20, 2024. The event lives in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, but Java Edition cape collectors had a good reason to complete it too, just in case.

Entering the Minecraft Office Party

The Minecraft Office Party was accessible from the Join Event button on the Minecraft Bedrock Edition home screen. After joining, players walked through a short forest path before reaching the office. Speaking with the receptionist opened access to the main event hall and provided a teleportation map plus a sticker book.

Before running off to do office chaos, check the daily challenge board near the entrance. It is directly to the right and shows all five daily challenges, including their completion status.

Only the five daily challenges are needed for the Creaking Cape. The sticker book can mostly be ignored unless extra event completion is part of the plan.

Challenge 1: Visit Every Floor

The first daily challenge asks players to visit every office floor. The fastest method is to right-click the map item and teleport to all four upper floors.

Challenge two also requires visiting each floor, so it is worth doing both at the same time instead of taking the scenic corporate tour twice.

Challenge 2: Fire Seven Confetti Cannons

Challenge two requires seven unique confetti cannons to be activated. Punch each cannon once to trigger it.

  • Idea Vault: 2
  • Biome Labs: 2
  • Mob Factory: 1
  • QA Department: 1
  • Lobby: 1

Lobby Cannon

Teleport to the lobby and look to the right. The cannon is opposite the main entrance, beneath the wall of clocks.

QA Department Cannon

The QA Department cannon requires a small parkour section. After teleporting in, go left and climb the red platforms. The cannon is located just after the first ladders.

Mob Factory Cannon

Teleport to the Mob Factory, then turn completely around. The cannon is sitting on boxes behind Jens.

Biome Labs Cannons

After teleporting into Biome Labs, turn around as with the Mob Factory. Both cannons are on nearby leaf blocks around the central plaza. Activate both before leaving for the Idea Vault.

The last two cannons are placed just past the finish line of the time trial minigame. Complete the race once, then punch both cannons to finish challenge two.

Challenge 3: Earn 1000 Coins in One Day

The third daily challenge requires 1000 coins earned in a single day. Each floor has a minigame that awards coins, but repeatedly completing the three-star Biome Drop minigame in Biome Labs is the quickest route. It can push players over 1000 coins in roughly two to three minutes.

Before moving on, earning 1400 coins total is recommended because challenges four and five require shop items.

Challenge 4: Wear the Dev Hat and Squish Bugs

With 1400 coins ready, teleport to the lobby and visit the shop in the center. The villager sells several items, including the Dev Hat for 400 coins and the Lab Coat for 800 coins. Buy both now if possible, then equip them like normal Minecraft armor.

Next, teleport to the QA Department and squish 15 bugs in the QA Department minigame while wearing the Dev Hat. This challenge only progresses if the hat is equipped.

Challenge 5: Wear the Lab Coat and Finish Biome Drop

If the Lab Coat was not purchased earlier, return to the lobby shop and buy it from the villager for 800 coins. Equip it as armor before starting the next task.

Teleport to Biome Labs and complete all three Biome Drop minigames while wearing the Lab Coat. Like the previous challenge, progress only counts while the required item is equipped.

Claiming the Creaking Cape

After completing all five daily challenges, a notification should appear saying the Master! challenge in the sticker book is complete. If no notification appears, check the final page of the sticker book for the Master! challenge, or review each daily challenge on the lobby board.

A fully colored cape above the Master! challenge means all five dailies are complete and the Creaking Cape has been earned. Close Minecraft, open it again, and the Creaking Cape should appear in the dressing room.

For Java Edition players, there was no guarantee the Creaking Cape would become available in both versions. If it did, only players who earned it during the event were expected to receive it, so completing the event was the safest option for cape collectors.
