Closed Beta Features

The closed beta included selectable factions, crafting, free cosmetics, secrets around the island, and four MCC minigames. That is a lot of luggage for one ferry trip, but it fits.

Battle Box

Battle Box brings four teams of four into a PvP arena where the goal is to control the center and fill it with your team's wool before time runs out.

Sky Battle

Sky Battle is another PvP mode, this time with eight teams of four spawning on separated islands. Players gather loot, fight, and try to survive while the map pressure increases.

Hole in the Wall

Hole in the Wall keeps the premise simple: dodge incoming wall patterns and stay alive longer than everyone else.

TGTTOS

TGTTOS, short for To Get To The Other Side, asks players to reach the finish by building, parkouring, and occasionally punching through the crowd.

Early Impressions

MCC Island's closed beta already offered plenty to do. The island contained hidden vendors and secrets, the minigames ran smoothly with minimal lag, and the community chat added its own entertainment, especially during rough rounds.

The custom systems were also a major part of the appeal. Crafting, daily quests, achievements, and factions gave players goals beyond simply queuing minigames. Aqua Axolotls were a natural fit for achievement hunters, though every faction had its own charm.

What Comes Next

The closed beta started strong, and MCC Island clearly had room to grow before a full launch. More minigames would be the obvious next wish, but even the initial version showed how well MCC's format could work as a public server.
