MCC 31 Teams, Start Time, Game List, and Where to Watch

MCC 31 brought another full Decision Dome lineup, new faces, notable absences, and the usual promise that one team will leave with bragging rights and everyone else will leave with clips.

MCC 31 was announced for Saturday, May 20, 2023, shortly before Minecraft's 1.20 update. The event was scheduled for 8 PM BST, which is 3 PM EST and 12 PM PST.

This was the 30th canon Minecraft Championship tournament. As usual, the format put 10 teams through a rotation of Minecraft minigames built around movement, combat, survival, teamwork, and the occasional moment where gravity becomes the real opponent.

MCC 31 featured 10 teams of four players each:

• Aqua Axolotls: AntVenom, 5up, Krtzyy, and Ryguyrocky
• Blue Bats: cubfan135, HBomb94, Krinios, and Eret
• Cyan Coyotes: DarkEyebrows, bekyamon, Ph1LzA, and PeteZahHutt
• Green Geckos: Purpled, Snifferish, VelvetIsCake, and Wallibear
• Lime Llamas: Hannahxxrose, Sapnap, JackManifoldTV, and Michaelmcchill
• Orange Ocelots: Mythical Sausage, FireBreathMan, Kara Corvus, and Seapeekay
• Pink Parrots: BadBoyHalo, Illumina, Skeppy, and vGumiho
• Purple Pandas: ElainaExe, KryticZeuz, Punz, and Sneegsnag
• Red Rabbits: jojosolos, Shadoune666, OllieGamerz, and Capitan Gato

Several regulars were absent. Shubble tweeted that she would be in Japan, ending a 29-event participation streak. TheOrionSound also said he would miss the event in a reply. Ranboo stated that MCC 31 would be their first absence since MCC 15, while GeminiTay and InTheLittleWood were also out.

Where to Watch MCC 31

The best way to watch MCC 31 was through the individual participant streams. The MCC Live website listed each player's channel, making it easier to follow a favorite team or hop between perspectives.

Winners earned MCC bragging rights until the next event, plus the MCC coin trophy. A small prize physically, but emotionally enormous if Twitter is any guide.
