Five Licensed Minecraft Snacks That Actually Made It to Store Shelves

Over the years, Minecraft has lent its blocky aesthetic to plenty of brand partnerships. Action figures of Steve, a Borderlands cameo inside the game, and a steady drip of merchandise have all carried the logo. Less talked about is the food aisle. Mojang has put its name on a handful of edible products too, and several are still floating around at retailers today. Here are five worth knowing about.

Creeper Crunch Cereal

Sold across the United States and Canada, Creeper Crunch is the Kellogg's cereal aisle's official tribute to a hostile mob. The base is cinnamon-flavored multigrain pieces, with square Creeper-face marshmallows mixed in. It pairs well with cold milk, which feels appropriate given how often milk shows up in Minecraft as a status-effect cure.

Nick's Ice Cream

A newer entry on the list, Mojang teamed up with Nick's to launch four Minecraft-themed ice cream flavors. The lineup includes Enchanted Apple Pie, Cake Block, Emerald Mint, and Peanut Chocolate Glowdust. The catch: shipping is online only, which keeps plenty of curious fans on the outside looking in. Wider distribution would be welcome.

Pringles

The Pringles tie-in skipped any new flavor experiments. Instead, the cans came wrapped in Minecraft artwork and included free Minecoins for the Bedrock store. Pretty handy if you played on Bedrock. Less useful if you were a Java player, who got a themed chip can with no spendable currency and a vague sense of being left out.

Rice Krispies Treats

The second collaboration with Kellogg's took the classic Rice Krispies Treat and dyed it Creeper green. Flavor stayed the same. The visual is the whole selling point, and honestly, that is enough when the shape and color do most of the marketing for you.

Ranboo Cheez-It Boxes

The most unusual entry came out of a partnership between Mojang, Kellogg's, Walmart, and content creator Ranboo. The crackers themselves were the standard Cheez-It recipe, but the box was wrapped in Minecraft art and signed by Ranboo. Sold only at Walmart and produced in limited quantities, the boxes vanished fast and left plenty of fans empty-handed.

What's Next on the Snack Aisle?

Mojang's pace in the food space has been steady, and there is no obvious reason it would slow down. Golden Apple snacks, chorus fruit candy, or anything else pulled straight from the game's inventory would not feel like a stretch at this point. Which Minecraft-branded snack would you actually want to try?
