Minecraft modpacks bundle many mods into one install, changing everything from machines and progression to combat, exploration, and building. Technic is one of the older and better-known launcher platforms for these packs, including classics like Tekkit.
To play a Technic pack, every player needs the Technic Launcher and the same modpack version as the server. Singleplayer is simpler, but multiplayer also requires the server to run the matching pack. Close enough is not close enough here, Minecraft modding is picky on purpose.
Technic packs are managed through the Technic Launcher, so start there before trying to join a server or load a world.

After login, the launcher is ready to install and run modpacks.
Once the launcher is installed, you can search for the pack you want and download it directly inside Technic.

The first launch may take longer than normal because Minecraft has to load the pack, its mods, and any required libraries.
For multiplayer, the server must run the same modpack that players launch through Technic. If you are using HolyHosting, this can usually be done from the server panel.

When the server finishes starting, launch the same pack in Technic and join with the server address. If the modpack is not listed in the panel, it may need a manual server file installation instead.
Large Technic packs can fail to launch if the launcher does not have enough memory. Increase the RAM allocation in the Technic Launcher settings, then try opening the pack again. If your computer is already low on memory, close browsers, game launchers, and other heavy apps first.
Antivirus software, firewalls, or unstable connections can interrupt Technic downloads. Check whether your security software is blocking the launcher and add an exception if needed. If everything looks fine locally, the issue may be on Technic's side, in which case waiting is the least exciting but most accurate fix.
