Hytale Commands Explained

Hello! In this article we will explain the basic Hytale commands, we will show you what you can use them for so you can get the most out of your server.

Admin Commands

Command

Usage

/give

Generates a specific amount of an item directly in a player's inventory using a code.

/tp

Teleports a player to specific coordinates or to another player to save travel time.

/auth login device

Links your server instance to your account to verify its authenticity and prevent abuse.

/heal

Restores health and energy to full instantly for any player on the server.

/whereami

Shows your exact numerical location on the map so you can share your position.

/backup

Activates automatic backups to save your world and protect your resources against errors.

/op self

Grants admin rights to yourself so you can change configuration files and set rules.

/inventory clear

Removes all items from a player's inventory to facilitate cleanup and resource management.

/hub

Sends the player back to the cosmos area, which serves as the default starting point.

/help

Shows a list of all available commands and how to use them in the game.

/unstuck

Moves a character to the surface if they fall off the map or get stuck.

/gamemode

Switches a user between creative, adventure, or exploration modes while playing.

/kill

Instantly ends a character's life within the server world for testing or moderation.

/auth status

Checks the authentication status of your Hytale server with the central security system.

/player respawn

Forces a user to respawn at the set respawn location if they get lost.

/hudtest

Toggles the HUD visibility on or off, ideal for taking clean screenshots of the world.

/stop

Initiates a controlled shutdown of dedicated servers to ensure all files are saved.

/whoami

Shows specific profile data and the current user's permissions on the server.

World Management and Building

Command

Usage

/time

Shows the current time and minutes within the active game world.

/fillblocks [pattern]

Fills a selected area with a specific block type to save time when building.

/mount /dismount

Allows mounting or dismounting interactable objects and creatures.

/weather set [type] /weather reset

Activates specific weather conditions or resets the weather to its natural state.

/block

Changes the state or appearance of a single block using a specific configuration.

/prefab save /prefab load /prefab delete /prefab list

Manages your blueprint collection to reuse structures across different servers.

/camshake

Adjusts the camera shake intensity to create special effects.

/worldmap discover /worldmap undiscover

Reveals specific map regions or hides them again.

/clearblocks [position 1] [position 2]

Instantly removes all objects within a defined three-dimensional space.

/editprefab

Opens the editor to import, modify, or export pre-designed structures.

/buildertoolslegend

Toggles building visual guides on or off to align blocks with precision.

/chunk

Provides direct control over the loading and modification of large map sections.

/checkpoint add /checkpoint remove

Creates or removes save points for players to track their progress.

/world reload /world clearmarkers

Reloads the world data or removes all custom markers from the map.

/who

Generates a list of all people currently active on the server.

/kick [player]

Disconnects a player from the current session but allows them to rejoin.

/emote [emote]

Makes your avatar perform a specific gesture or animation.

/whitelist add [player] /whitelist remove [player] /whitelist enable /whitelist disable /whitelist list

Controls a private list to allow or deny access to specific verified accounts.

/ban [player]

Blocks a specific user from being able to rejoin the server or game world.

/unban [player]

Restores access for a previously blocked user so they can rejoin the world.

/max players [amount]

Sets a strict limit on how many players can be on the server at the same time.

/notify

Sends an important text alert to all users on the connected server network.

/fillsignature

Instantly recharges your signature energy meter to its maximum.

/damage [player] [amount]

Reduces a specific character's health points by a defined numerical value.

/memories clear /memories unlockall

Resets the collected lore progress or unlocks all archive entries.

/cursethis

Applies a negative magical enchantment to the item you currently have in your hand.
