📌 What Is Server Splitting?
Server splitting lets you divide the resources of your main server into multiple sub-servers. It’s like cloning your server to use it for different purposes! This is perfect if you want to host multiple services or games without having to set everything up from scratch each time.
(This feature is only available on dedicated plans.)
🔍 How to Create a Subdivision
Locate the Server Subdivision Tab
Go to the sidebar in your HolyHosting panel and click on the "Divisions" tab.

⚠️ Before creating a subdivision, we need to take the available resources into account. ⚠️

Creating the Subdivision ➗
Once we’ve identified the available resources, it’s time to create the server subdivision. To do this:
Click on the "+" button.
As you can see, below the button it shows how many subdivisions have been created and how many more you can make.

The following tab will open:

Name: Choose a name for the subdivision.
Description: Add a description for the subdivision.
CPU Limit: Select the CPU limit you want to assign.
Memory Limit: Set the memory limit.
Disk Limit: Assign the disk space limit for the subdivision.
Swap Limit: This is a portion of the hard drive used as an extension of RAM when it runs out. Essentially, it acts as virtual memory to prevent the system from running out of resources when RAM is full.
Databases: Number of databases you want to create.
Splits: Number of subdivisions you want. If it shows (0 max), it means no further subdivisions can be made.
Allocations: Number of allocations.
Backups: Number of backups you can create for the subdivision.
Software Type: Select the software type for the subdivision, e.g., Bedrock Edition, Java, Forge.
Synchronize Subusers: Choose whether to sync the subusers from the main server with the subdivision.
Creating the Subdivision:
Once your subdivision is configured, go ahead and create it.

⚙️ Access Your Subserver
Great! The subdivision is now created and configured. Next, let’s see how to access it:
Go to the "Divisions" section on the left side of the panel.
Enter the subdivision you just created; in this case, it’s called "lobby".

Click the marked button. ➡️

Awesome! Your subdivision is now ready to use. You can access it by clicking the button highlighted in the image.
⚙️ Keep in Mind…
⚠️ Remember to check the main server’s resources before assigning them to the subserver.
🎭 Subdivisions can only be created on dedicated plans.
