Quick Guide: How to Upload a Pre-Made Server to HolyHosting 📜
Hey there! If you’ve ever wanted to upload a pre-made server to your control panel without the hassle of manually installing plugins, mods, or doing complex setup, you’re in the right place! Today we’ll show you how to do it quickly and easily.
📥 Download Your Pre-Made Server
The first thing you need to do is make sure you already have your pre-made server downloaded on your computer. This server should be in a compressed file.
🗂️ Access Your Control Panel
Go to your control panel, then look for the “Files” section.
Once inside the “Files” section, delete your old server (if you already have files installed there).

📤 Upload the Server Files
To upload your pre-made server to the control panel, we’ll use SFTP, since the server files you’re uploading are usually quite large.
Go to “Settings” and then click on “Launch SFTP.”
(To do this, you’ll need to have WinSCP or FileZilla installed on your computer. In this tutorial, we’ll be using WinSCP)

Once you click “Launch SFTP,” a window like the one below will open. Log in using the same credentials you use for your control panel.

📁 Inside WinSCP 📂
Inside WinSCP, you’ll see the following:
On the left side, you can manage the files on your computer.
On the right side, you can access the files from your server’s panel — in this case, it’s empty because we deleted everything earlier, remember?

To upload your pre-made server, simply drag the file into the window on the right side — the one connected to your panel.
Once you do this, a window like the following will appear:
(The upload time will depend on the size of the file you’re transferring.)
Once the upload is complete, you should see your compressed file displayed like this:
🚀 Back to the Panel
With the compressed file uploaded, return to your server’s control panel.
Go to the “Files” section.
Click the three dots on your compressed file and select “Unarchive.”
(This may take some time, depending on the size of the file.)

🟢 Start the Server to Check Everything Loaded Correctly
Turn on the server.

Join the server.

Done! Your pre-made server is now successfully uploaded.
❗ Common Issues & Solutions ❗
🛑 The Server Won’t Start
Common Cause: Missing or misconfigured files.
Solution✔️: Check your server folder to make sure all necessary files are present, especially the server.jar file. Also, verify that eula.txt has the value eula=true.
🔄 The Server Closes Unexpectedly
Common Cause: Insufficient memory or plugin/mod conflicts.
Solution✔️: Check your server’s RAM usage and consider upgrading your plan if needed. Review the logs for errors related to plugins or mods, and disable them if necessary.
