How to Start SFTP to Upload Files to My Minecraft Server 📺​

Hello, below I will show you a guide on how to use SFTP to upload files to the Server panel.

This process is useful in case you want to upload a very large world and cannot upload it directly from the panel.

Enter the Control Panel

First of all, enter your server control panel, then look in the left-side menu for the "Settings"

Once here, you need to download FileZilla or WinSCP, in this guide, we will use WinSCP, to download it, simply go to the following link and click the "Download"

To install it, simply run the installer and follow the steps it indicates.

Start SFTP

Once installed, go back to the server panel page and click the following button:

A WinSCP window will open, where you will need to enter your account password (the same one you use to log into the panel)

Important!!

Try to enter your password correctly as the program will restrict your access for a while if you enter the wrong password.

When the program starts, the only thing you need to do to add files to your server is drag them to the right-side window.

(If the folders, compressed files, etc., are very large, this process may take a while)

Now, go to the panel to verify that the files have been uploaded correctly. As you can see in the image below, the test folder we uploaded for this tutorial via WinSCP was uploaded correctly.

Now you know how to upload large files to your server. Remember that if the folders such as mod packs, worlds, etc., are very large, you should compress the files before uploading them.

In case you upload a compressed file, to decompress it simply go to the files section of your panel, click on the three dots, and select "Unarchive"
