How to use the playersSleepingPercentage gamerule

Basic command: Use the following command in the chat or in the server console:

/gamerule playersSleepingPercentage <percentage>

  • Replace <percentage> with the desired value.
  • For example:
    • 0: Allows any individual player to skip the night.
    • 50: Requires half of the players to sleep.
    • 100: All players must sleep to skip the night (default behavior).
  • Practical example: If you want only 20% of connected players to need to sleep to skip the night:

    /gamerule playersSleepingPercentage 20
    Important notes:
    • This command requires administrator permissions or cheats enabled.
    • It works in single player worlds and on Vanilla servers or with modifiers like Paper/Spigot.
  • You can also use this command from the console, without the /
    config
