How to set a welcome message on your Minecraft server💬

In this guide, we’ll show you how to create a custom welcome message for players joining your Minecraft server for the first time.

To do this, we’ll be using the EssentialsX plugin. How to Install EssentialsX

To install EssentialsX, follow these steps:

• Go to your server’s control panel.

• Navigate to the “Plugins” section.

• Type “EssentialsX” in the search bar to find the plugin.

  

• Click on the Download button.

• Then, restart your server to complete the installation.

Configuring the Plugin for the Welcome Message

Once you’ve restarted your server, the plugin will be successfully installed. Now, go to the “Files” section and open the “Plugins” folder. Inside it, look for the “Essentials” folder and then open the “config.yml” file.

Once inside, look for the line that says “announce-format” and replace the existing text with the message you want new players to see when they join your server.

In this example, our welcome message will be:"Welcome to the HolyHosting server!"
