How to Schedule a Backup for Your Minecraft Server

Minecraft·March 22, 2026·8 min read

Hello! Have you ever wished your server would make automatic backups periodically? This will not only help you protect your progress, but also give you peace of mind against any unforeseen events. In this guide we explain how to set it up easily. How do I create a schedule for a backup? The first thing we need to do is enter our server's control panel, then go to the "Schedules" section in the menu on the left side of the panel.

Within this section, click on the button "Create Schedule" and configure the following:

  • Schedule name: Assign an easy-to-identify name, such as "Backup".
  • Execution frequency: Define how often you want it to run, whether weekly, daily, monthly, etc.

For example, we will create a schedule that generates a backup every Monday. To do this, we need to enter the following values:

Now that we have our schedule created, we are going to assign a task to it. To do so, click on "New Task"

Click on "Action" and select "Create Backup"

Save the changes and that's it! Now, the system will automatically create a backup every Monday (as long as your plan includes this option). Of course, you can modify the schedule at any time to adjust it to your needs.
