In this guide we will teach you how to install the Vanilla version of Minecraft on your HolyHosting server. Follow these steps and you will have your server ready to play with the classic version of the game in no time. Let's begin!

Open your server control panel 💻
The first step to install the Vanilla version on our server is to open the control panel, then look for the "Versions" section in the left-side menu and enter "Vanilla"

Choosing the version ❤️
Once in this section, we will look for the list of "Vanilla" versions and choose the one we like. We have versions available from 1.2.5 to the latest Minecraft Vanilla version. In this guide, we will choose 1.21.7

When selecting the version, the following dialog will appear:

Here, we can select to delete all server data and accept the EULA. Once we select the options we want, we click on "Install" This will download the server.jar file needed to perform the installation.

Now, go to the console, then start the server. Wait a few seconds and accept the EULA if you haven't done so before.

Common Error:
What to do if my server doesn't start?
A common issue when installing a new version is that the server doesn't start. To fix this, you can try changing the Java version to a newer one in the "Startup (Java)"
