How to Install Sponge on Your Minecraft Server

Hi, in the following guide we will explain how to install Sponge on your Minecraft server.

🧽 What is Sponge?

Sponge is a modified Minecraft server that allows you to install plugins (like Bukkit/Spigot), but is based on Forge. This means that it can run mods and plugins at the same time, something that other servers like Spigot or Paper do not allow. How do I install this version? Installing this version is very easy thanks to our panel. The first thing we need to do is go to the "Versions" section where we can see the different available software, we are going to select Sponge.

Once inside, we can see the available versions, once we choose one, we click on it.

Once inside, we can choose the build we want (although we recommend leaving the default one) you can also check if you want to delete existing files on your server and also accept the EULA.

Once we have checked the options we want, we click on Install. Now, we simply need to go to the server console, start it, wait a few seconds and accept the EULA if we have not done it before.

Done! that is how easy it is to install Sponge on our server.
